in trouble
once i got in trouble for lying to my mother about reading the book pocahauntas ( i dont know if its spelled right) when i was actually looking in her room lookin at her jewlry so when she asked to see the book i couldnt find it so i had to tell her the truth.

the city of ember
i would change the part were the get their jobs at 12. i might say they would have a choice to reach into the hat and randomly pick a job at 12 or get 6 more years of school and have the leftover jobs picked for them

the major theme of the book so far was that the children were get jobs and have to stick with it for almost the rest of their lives.
