i would change the part were the get their jobs at 12. i might say they would have a choice to reach into the hat and randomly pick a job at 12 or get 6 more years of school and have the leftover jobs picked for them

i liked the idea about the jobs that they could get jobs at age 12 or have 6 more years of school and then get a job that is a very good idea
